Happy New Year to everyone and hope you all had a good break.
I am glad to say that the horses are all back in work and are now ready for the Premier shows coming up in February.
There are a few good shows before then so we will try and take the horses for a preparation run before the bigger outings which will be good to get the younger horses to a show at some of the major centres before the Premier shows start.
This weekend, it is my sister Beth’s, first Premier show on Salvador and Wizard, as I am now out of ponies now put of ponies and have handed over the reins.
Beth has had lots of time to get used to them at the back end of last year and over the winter so hopefully they will do well!
Her first Premier show is at South View equestrian centre in Cheshire and there is the main winter qualifier on both Saturday and Sunday.
I wish her good luck for that because as it is the first one of the season, it will be the most difficult and all of the best pony and rider combinations will be there.
This winter I have been very pleased with my new four-year-old, called Guy. He is improving all the time and I look forward to getting him out to some shows soon.
Take care Laura
